I learned how to close deals when I was 20 years old while working at Canadian Property Stars - the largest direct sales company in Canada at the time (we sold lawn services and driveway sealing). I was the number 1 rep out of 400, knocked on over 20,000 doors, made a crap ton of money, got rejected and slapped around countless times and probably got lung cancer from inhaling driveway sealant for 12 hours a day. It was all worth it, though. I learned how to create something from nothing and I’ve used the skills I learned to sell other things like software.
